This is due to how the public holidays are falling this year and we will effectively be closed for 3 working days.
Any orders for in-stock items placed on or before 21 Dec 2022 should still be dispatched for delivery this year, but any other orders will likely only be delivered in the new year (non in-stock items or orders placed after 21 Dec 2022).
We thank you for your patience at this time though as there can be stock shortages both on our end as well as our suppliers, so as always, it is difficult to guarantee availability.
Please note that delivery of orders sent out before we close will continue to be delivered by our courier partner (The Courier Guy) on working days (and Saturdays).
Please however note that they do not work on public holidays and there are more than normal this year. The following days are public holidays over this period:
Thank you for your your support throughout this year and we wish you and yours and happy and peaceful festive season!

We ask for your patience and understanding at this time and assure you that we are doing everything we can to get your orders to you in a timely fashion.

UPDATE (15 July 2021): We have been informed by our courier partner's branch in Johannesburg that their Durban branch is closed as a result of the civil unrest as well as being partly looted. Other branches which are currently closed include, but are not limited to, Pietermaritzburg and Howick. There are further branches also closed in and around Johannesburg.
We will continue dispatching orders however PLEASE NOTE parcels destined for areas where the courier depots are closed will be collected and taken by the courier to a secure kiosk but they will not be dispatched for delivery until further notice.
Our Head Office have been looking for a new space to store all the yummy treats and comfy beds we stock online for your precious pets. We have found a new space which is luckily, not too far away. The move started today - which is very exciting! Unfortunately with all the back and forth between offices it will mean some online orders may be delayed. We apologise for this and trust you will bear with us as we get setup in our new space.
Update Monday, 15 February: All stock has been moved across to our new offices, the team is hard at work sorting stock and packing shelves. Online orders placed in the last few days will be delayed and our phone lines are not up and running as yet. Should you have any queries please contact us via email on info@petplus.co.za
If you're in Cape Town and need anything urgently please pop into one of our physical stores.

Due to increased sales and demand over the Black Friday period, delays may be encountered with orders from our suppliers and with courier deliveries to you, our customer. We will endeavour to dispatch your purchase as quickly as possible.
Orders are processed on a first in, first out basis. Stock is limited and priority will be given to earlier orders.
Receipt of order and payment does not guarantee stock availability.
We have continued trading through the "hard lockdown" period to provide you and your furry companions with "essential" items. With the move to Level 4 restrictions across the country, we're able to sell most products on the site now.
Please go ahead and place your orders for anything listed and if there are truly any troublesome items, we will reach out to you directly concerning such.
Let's hope that this week marks the return to relative normal / the new normal and we hope you and your pets are enjoying the small amount of freedom we have now been afforded.
]]>We are working as fast as we can to dispatch orders, but as I'm sure you can understand there are logistical challenges in meeting current demand along the full supply chain as well as last mile to you, the customer.
There is also uncertainty after the announcement of the national shutdown as to whether courier services will be able to continue operating and indeed, what falls into the classification of "essential food services".
Once the situation has been clarified, we will advise further.
For now, we're doing our best to continue dispatching orders while there is certainty we can.
]]>This is normally the case for weekends and public holidays, but due to the vast number coming up, we'd thought we'd make extra sure that you're aware of this.
Please also note that due to all the public holidays in the next few weeks, deliveries will take longer than normal.
So please plan ahead!
We wouldn't want your fur kids to run out of their favourite food or be deprived of toys to keep them busy during this time.

FRANCE : PROTEST ACTION AFFECTS SOME IMPORTED STOCK
There have been wide-spread « Yellow Jacket » protest actions in France for the past few months which has been widely reported in the international media.
As a result of road and transport blockages around France, this has affected to some extent, the regular French Royal Canin shipping of product to various countries including South Africa.
In mitigation of this effect, we already have wet airfreight in transit are placing further orders to ensure market coverage.
We wish to inform you that we may experience potential challenges on some imported product lines and SKUs available to order. Substitutions on SKU product sizes may occur. The potentially affected product lines are :
We at Pet Plus, apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, but I'm sure you will understand that the matter is beyond our control.
We will continue to fulfil orders from available stock, but once our stockholding has been used up, we will be unable to fulfil further orders.
During this time, we may have to refund customers due to shifting stock levels across the group and we apologise in advance for any issues in this regard.
]]>Shew! It's that time of the year again!
2018 has been a cracker for us... We're rather pooped to tell you the truth.
And packing all these online orders is part of what's pooping us out.
So we're going to take a break, rest our huge biceps (sod crossfit, pick up and pack 20kg bags of dog food for a living, and then come talk to us about "functional training" ;-) ) and see you refreshed and ready to annoy our couriers with more heavy parcels in the new year ;-)
While we do our best to keep things running as long as possible over the festive season, many of our suppliers close for a period of time as too does our courier service. As such:
We will close our online service once last orders have been shipped after Thursday 20 Dec 2018 and will re-open in the new year on Wednesday, 2 Jan 2019.
You are welcome to place an order during this period, but it will only be attended to when we re-open on 3 Jan 2018.
Happy holidays to you and yours!
We hope you have a lovely festive season with family, friends and furkids ;-)
Keep safe over the festive season, take time to de-stress with your pets and see you in the new year ;-)

]]>Please be aware that Royal Canin are currently experiencing a nationwide system outage (Phone lines, internet connectivity and all IT systems).
As such, deliveries from Royal Canin have been severely affected, impacting our ability to provide stock to clients both in-store and online.
We will continue to operate from our stock-holding across our stores and warehouses, but cannot rely on replenishment from Royal Canin until their issues have been resolved.
As such, all Royal Canin is being sold on an "in stock only" model and your desired products may now be listed as "Out of stock".
Once they have resolved their issues and we can be assured of consistent supply, we will re-instate our regular operation.
We apologise for any inconvenience in this regard and thank you for your understanding.
UPDATE 2017-07-29, 14:00: The issues that Royal Canin have been experiencing have largely been resolved and deliveries have returned to relative normality.
There may still be continuing issues of stock availability due to the disruption the outage caused in production and delivery schedules from the overseas manufacturing facilities, so we can expect "out of stocks" in certain lines for the foreseeable future.
Please bear with us while we manage the situation. We will do our best to list products as out of stock on the website to prevent disappointment after ordering, but the data may not always be accurate due to fluctuating stock levels between our various stores.
UPDATE 2017-06-30, 14:00: We have been updated that this is a Global Royal Canin System outage affecting their sales worldwide. A statement from them concerning this follows:
Dear Client,
ROYAL CANIN® has been globally impacted by the recent IT attack that has affected a number of companies and organizations around the world. In order to safeguard our commitment to high quality, we took the precautionary decision to shut down our production globally.
Whilst we are gradually restoring our services, we sincerely apologize for any shortages of your favorite ROYAL CANIN® products that you might face.
While not only "production", they have also ceased supply entirely around the world. As a result of this, we have taken the decision to cease sales of Royal Canin through our website as we are unable to guarantee stock levels.
We apologise for this state of affairs and will mark all products for sale once again when Royal Canin resolve their issues.
