The product has definitely filled its purpose of a entrance/exit for the cats. It however was not the most easy product to install. The mounting points are incredibly close to the hole you cut; meaning very little room for error. And when cutting with a jigsaw unfortunately there will be some human error. I would even suggest removing the door to make the cut more accurate as cutting downwards with a jigsaw is not precise. I would in actual fact consider buying a different higher quality door flap next time, but this is a good first budget start. My cats are also still getting used to the idea of a flap. I had to leave it open for now, but it is still early days. It helps that they can see through the flap.But I would look at getting something with a softer flap next time.

The product has definitely served its purpose in providing a kitty entrance. My cats are still getting used to the idea of a flap and have not yet quite understood. We had to start with the flap open at first and they haven't yet attempted to push the flap yet, but it is still early days. It helps to have it transparent so they can see through to feel more comfortable to go through. But the product was not the best quality door, which I guess matches the lower price. The biggest issue was that the mounting points sit really close to the edge of the hole you have to cut. There is very little room for error and unfortunately with a jigsaw there is always a bit of human error. I would suggest removing the door to cut the hole more accurately. I would spend a bit more next time on a better quality pet door and I would consider a soft flap instead of a rigid one with the cats. Not bad for the price; it gets the job done,but is not the easiest to install and is not of a high quality.
