The PetSafe outdoor bark deterrant system that emits a safe ultrasonic sound that only dogs can hear which stops them from barking.

PetSafe Outdoor Bark Deterrant - Ultrasonic (5m-15m range):

When the Outdoor Bark Control is within range of a barking dog, an internal microphone picks up the sound and the unit is automatically activated. The PetSafe® Outdoor Bark Control emits an ultrasonic sound that can be heard by dogs but is silent to humans. Startled by the high-pitched sound that is safe and effective, the dog should stop barking, as it will associate its bark with this unpleasant noise. When the dog stops barking the ultrasonic sound also stops. The PetSafe Outdoor Bark Control unit has 4 settings which includes 3 Sensitivity Levels and a Test Mode. It is effective up to 15 m (50 feet).

Note: If the dog is deaf or hearing impaired, he may not react to the Outdoor Bark Control.

Worked for me

Bought this because of neighbours dog that barked all day and night at our wall. Placed it facing the neighbours yard. Took about a month for their animal to stop barking. But it worked! Barking became less frequent, then pretty much stopped all together. This device chows battery so check it often to keep it working at full capacity. I lost it in a move and will be buying another one. Would recommend this product.

Not effective

The red light flashes and it beeps when my dog barks so it is functioning but not effective at all. Also impossible to return as the box had to be cut open to get the device out as it is glued shut on all sides.

Disappointing

Have had this up for 2 weeks now, without it even making the slightest difference. The red light flashes when the dog barks, but there is no effect on the dog. My neighbours 2 dogs continue to bark day and night despite the fact that I have this hanging on a low branch right at their garden. So sorry I wasted my hard earned money on this gimmick.
