Please note: There is "fake" news circulating that ivermectin can help with the prevention or control of COVID-19. These articles are not to be believed and we must advise that Pegaforte is intended for horses, is not certified for human consumption and can be harmful to humans. Specifically some of the side-effects that may be associated with ivermectin include skin rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, facial or limb swelling, neurologic adverse events (dizziness, seizures, confusion), sudden drop in blood pressure, severe skin rash potentially requiring hospitalization and liver injury (hepatitis). More detailed information can be found in these articles:

Directions for use:

  • Pegaforte is administered orally
  • Each marking on the syringe delivers enough paste for a 100 kg body mass.
  • One 10 g syringe contains sufficient paste to treat one 600 kg horse at the recommended dose levels.
  • The body mass of the horse should be determined prior to treatment to ensure the correct dose is given.
  • Before administration, ensure that the horse does not have food in its mouth.
  • Insert syringe in the gap between the front and back teeth and deliver paste onto the back of the tongue.
  • Immediately raise the horse's head for a few seconds after dosing to ensure swallowing of the paste.

Composition:

Ivermectin 12 mg/g , Praziquantel 150 mg/g.

Proposed worm control programmes:

Mares - Regular dosing at 6 -8 week intervals on pastures during summer and autumn.

Stallions - Treat at least twice during the year.

Foals - Initial treatment at 2 months of age and followed by strategic treatment at 6 - 8 week intervals.

It is important to alternate between two groups of dewormer during the year.

Bots

Bot flies are active during late spring and peak during autumn. The bots are then carried through the winter. Treatment against the bots that are attached to the stomach wall is essential in order to remove the established burdens in autumn and winter.

Warnings

  • This product is only intended for use in horses
  • It is not certified for use in any other animals or humans and can be harmful if not administered as directed

Worked well

Worked well for an elderly dog.

Montego Karoo

My dogs have been on Montego Karoo for more than two years now. Their heath, energy and condition is remarkably better than ever before. I have a Belgian Malinois who has had food allergies in the past, so I use the hypoallergenic version and she's never had a problem since. This food is worth every penny!

Giving Peace Of Mind

With so many cows around I worry more than usual but with Bravecto I can relax and let my cats be themselves.

Works Like A Charm

The paste was much easier to dose than the tablets or syrup and I'm very relieved that the worms are completely gone.

Great

Our kittens love it and have had no issues with it.
